The French CD single for Alex Gopher's "The Child" features five different versions of the song, which is best known for sampling Billie Holiday's "God Bless the Child." The single opens with the "New Edit" version, which is essentially an edited version of the "Album Version" that manages to shed about a minute of length, clocking in just under four minutes. Next come two remixes by Kenny Dope, Little Louie Vega's partner in Masters of Work, a legendary New York Latin house duo: the first of these remixes is the "Kenny Dope Radio Edit," which is an edited version of the following "Kenny Dope Bonus Beat" version. The fourth track on this single is the "Child Faze Action Remix," which is followed by the final track, the ordinary "Album Version."
