Welcome back to the Qobuz Minute - it's been a battle to the end this week to try and narrow down a host of fantastic releases across all genres to just 5, but we've managed to do it regardless! Following a successful showing at the recent BRIT Awards, James Bay has arrived with his debut LP entitled Chaos and the Calm, available in Hi-Res on Qobuz for download from today. Cuban Legends Buena Vista Social Club have also released a host of new tracks on their new Hi-Res album suitably titled Lost & Found, while the well-loved Courtney Barnett has brought out her new rock LP humourously named "Sometimes I Sit and Think, Sometimes I Just Sit"', and gaining plaudits and critical appraise for her musical ingenuity in the process. The wonderful soprano Sophie Karthauser transportd you to the classical domain of Michel Richard Delalande with a fine interpretation of Leçons de Ténèbres alongside renowned French conductor Sebastien Daucé. Marcus Miller is on the list as well, warming the blood with some quality jazz in his new Hi-Res album entitled Afrodeezia. Top this off with a pertinent retrospective on the career of Simon & Garfunkel and you've got a fantastic journey of musical discovery ahead!
